Event Host
An event host at The Goei Center and The Kindel Room is responsible for being the day of wedding/event liaison between The Goei Center, vendors, and guests on site. They will be there throughout the entirety of the event, helping the vendors, assisting with set-up and tear-down, answering client and guest questions, while troubleshooting throughout the event. The Goei Center is a Grand Rapids event venue that offers two unique venues, The Goei Center and The Kindel Room.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assisting in day of execution of onsite special events
Assist in event set-up and tear-down
Answer client and guest questions
Troubleshoot throughout the event
Assist vendors
For weddings, you will help to get the bridal party lined up to walk down the aisle and for the grand entrance
Monitor the facility (including picking up trash, monitoring bathrooms)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Able to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
Strong verbal communication skills
Attention to detail
Strong leadership skills
